OPERATOR TRAINING

It is an employer’s responsibility to ensure their employees have been trained for safe operation of the material handling equipment they are operating. Our operator courses are designed to meet the Ministry of Labour guidelines to ensure safe and competent operation. 

O’Donnell's offer a combination of theoretical training – via in class presentations, including visual aids and video, and practical training - allowing for real hands on learning.  Our trainers are able to accommodate students who require extra support or modification to complete the program.  Upon successful completion of both the theoretical and practical testing, operators will be issued a wallet card indicating the machines they are competent to operate.

We offer training at our location or can make arrangements to provide training at your location.  We keep our class sizes small and our head instructor has over 40 years of experience in both the education field and forklift industry.  This unique combination makes for an exceptional training experience.

We offer operator training in:

• -Sit down counter balance forklifts.
• -Rough terrain & telehandler.
• -MEWP – scissor or boom lifts.
• -Truck Mounted forklifts.
• -Pallet truck, walkie/rider, stacker and reach trucks.

Other safety training available includes:

• -Fall Arrest.
• -WHMIS.
• -Safe handling of LPG.
